An interesting long-term study by the Center for Disease Control ranks all of the fifty states by "happiness" as measured by the CDC's Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. Mississippi was rated as the "7th" happiest states in which to live.
I bet if the CDC had measured only the Hill Country, we would have come in 1st place.
To read a summary of this study and to find out where all the unhappy folks live (if you have to ask), follow this link:
Meanwhile all you residents of unhappy places think of the green, green, grass of the Deep South and how happy we are. Happiness that is real --- happiness that has been measured by the CDC's Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.
Wishing you all happiness --- and if you live in an unhappy place, just move!
